The Wieliczka Salt Mine

When Yanek arrived at the Wieliczka salt mine he discovered it was 1,073 feet deep and 178 miles of tunnels. He was forced to mine until he fainted of exhaustion. Even through all the horror of working till you die, there was still beauty. Inside the maze of tunnels and underground lakes, there were cathedrals made of salt created by miners many generations before.
